I am attorney John Eastland. I was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1953 and have been a lifelong resident of Tyler, Texas. I proudly call East Texas my home, and I am a strong supporter of services and social institutions in communities throughout the Smith County and Gregg County region. Along with my extensive criminal law experience and many legal accomplishments, I am proudest of my faith, my wife of 30 years and my two beautiful children. I believe in the support and joy that comes with living a Christian life. I serve my faith by acting as deacon for missions at my church. I serve my community, in part, by serving as school board director. My interests include the many outdoor activities that East Texas has to offer, including sporting clays, wingshooting, flyfishing, backpacking, skiing, travel photography and scuba diving.
